Brief Bio

Dr. Hussain has been at BBN since 2000. He has a broad interest in learning and training for both machines and humans, and has researched game-based training systems and the integration of multiple machine learning and reasoning techniques for improved learning of tasks. He is a designer of autonomous tactical behavior, scheduling and network optimization solutions based upon evolutionary algorithms and neural network technology. Prior to joining BBN, he was Adjunct Faculty (1999-2000) in the School of Computer Science at Queen's University, a scientist (1996-1998) at Data Analysis Technologies in Kingston, Ontario, and a research assistant (1993-1999) at the Robotics and Perception Laboratory at Queen's University. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science, M.Sc in Computer Science, B.Sc. (Honours) in Cognitive Science, and B.A. in Physics, all from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. details
