[OpenMap Users] Common Interface for positioning Object

There is a common interface for positioning Element on the Map? That is to say that setLatLon (or setLat, setLon) AFAIK is not part of an interface so there is no common class i could use to position object. Assume for example i would write my generic method to do this: setPosition(OMObject??, LatLonPoint llp); Which is the OMObject i have to use??? for example OMRaster has setLat and setLon method, OMArc as setLatLon(float,float) why don't create a common interface?
