[OpenMap Users] setting OMText color... stumped!!

hi, i hope this is an easy one (i have been fooling around for a little
while on this):

how do you set the actual colour that is used for rendering text in OMText??

i have tried all that i can see of the obvious and non obvious options
but can change matte etc - but not the actual Color used to render
characters!

smack me round with a one line of laughter (+ answer!) or RTFM! :-)
