[OpenMap Users] RE: MGRS Labels on the UTMGridPlugin

Any thoughts?

The reason I sent the previous email is that it appears the intent is to
render MGRS labels, as indicated by a comment in
UTMGridPlugin.createUTMZoneLabels():

        // Need to use MGRSPoint to get MGRS zone letters, the UTM

        // zone letters are N and S for the hemisphere, which isn't

        // very interesting.

The MGRS zone letter *is* used for the lower res MGRS zones, but not for the
higher res distance grids. Is this the intended functionality?

Is there a way to display MGRS Labels on the distance grids of the
UTMGridPlugin without extending in java? It looks like the zone area labels
are displaying MGRS zone letters, but when you get down to the distance
grids, the labels show UTM zone letters (see attachment).
