[OpenMap Users] DataOrganizer for rectangular or polygonal objects

Hello list !!

I wonder if there are any DataOrganizers other than QuadTree available?
It would be great to have a QuadTree equivalent for rectangular or
polygonal data instead of point data only.
I know I could develop a simple "dataGrid" but some efficient
implementations may exist...
