[OpenMap Users] Keyboard Events for Layers?

Hello,

I have a layer and associated mouse mode that draws an OMGraphic one segement at a time.

I would like to capture the escape key for this layer when the user wants to abort and start drawing his OMGraphic
from scratch again.

Should I capture keyboard events in the associated mousemode?

Is there a standard OpenMap way of capturing keyboard input for particular layers?
