[OpenMap Users] is a point visible ?

I'm using a mapBean and several layers in order to draw a background map
(scaled raster) and paths (polyline)
At some point the map is zoomed in, and pathes are outside of the
visible window.

I need to know when a point of a path i have to draw will be visible or
not in order to give user a hint on its relative position (where to pan
to see it).
I though of using map bean, but cannot figure out where to start.

Any idea around.
