[OpenMap Users] mouse click (on layer)

I have two scenarios that I need to capture mouse click events.

One is a road system on the map that is from a shapefile.
The other is straight from a csv text file.

What is a good class to look at that will get me goint on the right track?
(for both those types of layers)

As far as the csv text file, should I hold the information of each point on
the layer or should I capture mouse click (lat/lon) and then do a lookup?
