some follow up questions.

since the graphic creation is suppose to work like powerpoint is there a
way to cancel the graphic creation programmatically while the icon is in
that middle state?

Also for the application we have we would prefer the user not go creating
layers on their own... Is there a way to add the UTMGridPlugin
programmatically?
