[OpenMap Users] postgreSQL and postGIS

Hi all,

Does anybody have experience using openMap with postgreSQl with the postGIS spatial extension. I have written some layers to communicate with postgreSQL using the native geometry types via JDBC. My layers read geometries from the database, and write geometries drawn with the openMap drawing tool to the database. There is also a tool for sending SQL queries to the database and displaying the resulting geometries.
I now want to try using postGIS with similar functionality. If anyone knows of a convenient interface to get started I'd appreciate the tip. I think WKB4J might be a possible tool?
