The MapInfo functionality in OpenMap supports
MIF files only (MapInfo Data Interchange format)
MID files or TAB files are not currently supported, I would like to see it
supported in the future though.
What you can do if you have the MapInfo professional product, is open your
TAB files up within a MapInfo Professional workspace and export them as MIF
files, then use in OpenMap! This may or may not satisfy your requirements.
Cheers,
Simon

Subject: [OpenMap Users] MapInfo adapter
Hi everyone,
Does anyone happen to know if the MapInfo adapter supports image based
MapInfo files? They are composed of a .TAB file (containing the
geo-spatial information) and an associated .TIFF or will these need to
be converted to shp?
Thanks very very much!
