Thanks for the pointer. Am I wrong that the distance calculated is an
angular/'straight line' between points rather than a great circle, even
though each Geo is instantiated as non-sphere?
It would be nice to have some heuristics that sketch differences
between ellipsoid and spherical earth models in terms of great circle
or other distance calculations. I think this could help people make
informed choices or at least be explicitly aware of the variability.
