So that's where it is? OK. I am loading 14 folders of data. Each folder represents 1 cd of CADRG data supplied by NIMA. The thing is that I had been using the same structure with 4.5.3 and it didn't take nearly as long to load. That being said, it does load a lot faster if I am pointing to only one of the folders but there has definitely been an increase in the time taken to generate, I would guess, the cache and the program is freezing as if the creation was not being done in its own thread.

The SwingWorker didn't go away, it was moved up into the superclass
OMGraphicHandlerLayer.
