[OpenMap Users] Shape Layer, problems and questions

Hello all,

I'm using OM 4.6, using ShapeLayer to load map data. I've got some questions as following:

1. I've verrided the com.bbn.openmap.layer.policy.ProjectionChangePolicy's
projectionChanged() method so it only reacts when the scale is in a
range(Please refer to attached files).But when I try to load a large map, it
works well on high PC but dees not show on low-end PC. I try to print out
the OMGraphicList object's size inside StandardRenderPolicy.paint() method,
on high-end PC the size is over 2500, but on low-end PC the size is 2.
What's the reason and how to solve this?

2. How to select several map elements(a line, a polyline)
by drawing a circle or rectangle?

3. How to perform the query of attributes data based on the selected map element
(line, polyline, point)?

4. Is there any way to decorate a line as a railway, highway or bridge?

5. How to create a thematic map by showing different size of shapes, such as
bar-charts and pie-charts?
