[OpenMap Users] Forcing MapHandler/MapBean/Layers to repaint

I have an application with number of OMGraphicLayers that get OMGraphics added to them on a sporadic basis. New OMGraphics that are added only show on a ProjectionChanged event. Is there a way to force a repaint without changing projection? A previous (and inelegant) solution was to simply override the MapBean and call fireProjectionChanged() whenever a refresh was desired. Is there a cleaner way to do this?
