[OpenMap Users] How to project a picture?

Hello group,

I have a map picture of a city but I do not have the world file. What is
usual procedure of find the values of the four edges in long/lat values allowing
me to project the the picture inside the map. I do not know the scale of the
map either. Is it possible to find those values?
