Hi Don,
The paths property, using two seperate TOC files for the two data sets is
as follows:
rpf.paths=/map_data/cadrg/d4/RPF;/map_data/cadrg/d4/RPF
With the paths property set as above, the following errors were thrown:
(1) FormatException: assertSize IOException : nil
(2) loadfile(): error parsing A.TOC file
(3) invalid TOC file in /d3
If I reverse the ordering of the filenames for the rpf.paths property, the
same error occurs but
reports an invalid TOC file for d4. As mentioned, they both work
individually but not in unison.
Having had some issues with this I attempted to create a single TOC file.
To create the TOC file I used the MakeToc class, passing multiple paths to
the CADRG RPF directories. This, as you
suggested created a single TOC file without the need to move any data. The
out of memory error was not thrown when
creating the TOC file, but when running the openmap application using the
newly generated file.
The script used to run the application starts java -Xms512M, -Xmx512m
.......etc
When application runs, a java.lang.OutOfMemoryError is thrown from the
LayerWorker.Construct.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks again
Chris Riley

What does your paths property look like?

Did you try bumping up the memory for the MakeToc program, running it
with a -Xmx512m flag (or some higher value)?
You'll get better performance if you make a singe TOC file. You can
even create a TOC without combining your data into one directory.
