What's wrong with their position? Are the latitudes and longitudes
mixed up? How are they changing when the scale changes, i.e. do they
stay over the same place on the map, or do they stay in the same place
relative to the window? Do they stay at a certain pixel distance away
from a lat/lon location?

Are they appearing over the coordinates they are given, or are they
appearing in a location that doesn't make sense given the other layers
on the map?
