Hi,
My application needs to update its data from the location handlers on
specific interval (the data is represented as GIFs on the map).
I encounter some serious performance issues doing the following:
1. Calling the location handlers to reload their data.
2. Calling doPrepare() of the location layer.
It seems that the map applet repaints the shape files, when actually it
doesn't need to do so (it just needs to present the GIFs on different
locations).
Is there any way to tell the layer not to paint the shape files again? How
do I do that?
Regards,
