Openmap has a plugin layer, com/bbn/openmap/plugin/wms/WMSPlugIn.java,
which makes Openmap a WMS client, supporting versions 1.0 through 1.1.1
of the WMS specification. It is pretty basic, only supporting the
required
parameters and limiting coordinate reference systems to the LLXY
projection.
