It would take some work, but you really don't want to split the
directories up. The directory structure and supporting files are all
kind of tied together. The VPF code uses feature codes to figure out
what features to draw. These features can be further classified by
FACC codes, which categorize the features into much more specific
groups. Unfortunately, OpenMap doesn't filter and/or color features by
FACC codes. That would be the improvement to pursue.
