Yeah, the TerrainLayer/LOS tool was written before the drawing tool,
and it's managing a changing OMCircle directly and calling repaint. It
needs to be updated to use a drawing tool.

That pop-up menu is being presents by the drag and drop mechanism. I'm
not sure why that is happening. You can remove that mechanism by
taking out those components in the openmap.components property of the
openmap.properties layer.

The dndCatcher and the dropSupport keywords in the list are adding the
com.bbn.openmap.tools.dnd.DropListenerSupport and the
com.bbn.openmap.tools.beanbox.BeanBoxDndCatcher.

If the circle is drawn, hitting the create button should kick off the
creation of the LOS mask. If it's big, it might take a while, but
there should be a progress bar displayed.

The graph is a raster image. Got a screen shot of the problem?

I don't know why the profile tool would be working and not the LOS
tool. The GUI steps are the same.
