[OpenMap Users] setCenter()

Hello,
    I'm having problems trying to find out how to center the map in the
ContentPane. In the examples supplied with OpenMap, a method like
setCenter() is used. My question is how do you calculate the co-ordinates
for the centre point ? So far I have tried using the min and max fields of
the ESRIBoundingBox class to calculate the centre point, but this has been
unsuccessful.
Can anybody point me in the right direction please ?
