Hi Don,

Thanks. My dted directory contents listing is as follows:

C:.
|---bak
|----classes
| ----com
| | ----bbn
| | ----openmap
| | ----examples
| | ----hello
| ----package cache
----data
| ----dted
| |
| ----[w/e]XXX
|
|
----src
| |_ SimpleMap.java
|
---- TestMap.jpx (using JBuilder project workspace)

and containing within [we]XXX directory is my dted file which is [ns]YY.dt[01/02]

and notice that that mine is different from yours, as you have 3 digits to [ns] and 2 digits to [ew]. is that correct
as is au contraire to that specify in the dted specification? anyway have tried both variants but still stuck. and also
does it matter whether the extension is a dt01 or dt1? because according to what i see in the spec, it is only dt1

one question, i encounter examples in the OpenMap API that directory is specified as e.g. /usr/local/matt/data/dted
if i am not wrong this is a unix path instead of windows. so it is ok that i just specify /data/dted that it will look
into my current working directory?

perharps a last resort, is it possible to send me your working program and a sample dted0 data?(if that is possible). Thanks

Regards

Chun Leong
