I'd be interested in this too.
I started playing around with it myself - just implementing a small subset of them.
I'll mail Mark my code and a screendump.

Subject: [OpenMap Users] Mil-Std-2525 (or other) symbology

Has anyone implemented a military unit symbology class? I see the "hooks"
in the documentation of such a class, but it is either not ready yet or is
not being distributed with the OpenMap. We are exploring OpenMap as a GIS
display system, but do not want to write what has already been written. I
know BBN plans to add Mil-Std-2525 symbology, but I find it hard to believe
that a user somewhere does not have something that will display military
unit icons, no matter how badly.

Thanks,
