too many open files

        Hello,

I have a openmap servlet that runs fine, but after a certain time I get the
message "too many open files" when trying to access necessary mapdata.
Does someone know why / how. I must say, the servlet loads in quite some
needed data files (15-25). If that might be on the borderline, is there a way
to set a property for this?
I am running the servlets on a server running SuSe Linux (7 or 8). There's
memory enough!
