Working on this still... though I've made inroads on making better maps
by layering differently. I am still convinced that openmap is doing
screwy things with objects, making them bigger than they should be in
reality. Kind of an edge blead problem.
I did find that:
Turning on and off edge colors made no differance
" selected "
Turing the line width up did however make a differance. I tweaked it up
to 10 to be obvious and it certainly made huge blobs! I tried setting
it to 0 but it didn't seem to help.
---- Another pondering of mine... Is there more info in vpfs? such as display hinting for text? How do I know if I want the boston label, or the label for cambridge when they overlap? Boston being the capital, more population, generally bigger would likely be the one you want... I would guess that vmap has some form of precidence ordering? They have big globs of things which seem like they would have subdivisions inside of them? -- [To unsubscribe to this list send an email to "majdart@bbn.com" with the following text in the BODY of the message "unsubscribe openmap-users"]Received on Fri Sep 27 16:59:31 2002
