Sure.
I'm not sure why the OpenMap output would appear as dots. The
OMGraphics that can be output into Shapefiles should be (I think,
*have* to be) defined in terms of lat/lon, so there shouldn't be a
scale component at all. The scale component would only make sense if
the OMGraphics were defined in terms of x/y. Maybe that's what's
going on - the lat/lon graphics have a scale component, so they are
being interpreted as x/y coordinates instead of decimal degree lat/lons.
