Labels with ESRIPlugin

Hi,

Using the ESRIPlugin, I would like to display the content of one of the
.dbf fields as labels.

What is the best way to do that?

I tried to implement a LocationHandler (derived from
AbstractLocationHandler) with info from an ESRIPlugin, so that I can
build up the locations. I pass the ESRIGraphicList to my location
handler and use a jdbc connexion to "select recno(), DesiredFieldName
from TableName where MyFilter". The trivial relation between recno() and
GraphicList entries makes it possible to compute the lat/lon for each
selected label. If no filter is to be implemented, the GraphicList and
the dbfTableModel gives enough info to build-up the locations.

The problem is that it doesn't seem to be possible to add an existant
LocationHandler to a LocationLayer.

Is there another way do obtain what I want?
