Hello,
I use a gridlayer. it consists of a grid that's about 6 degrees to 6
degrees in size. When i zoom in it uses about exponentially more
memory. When i zoom in to 600000 or less it uses a few 100 MB
of memory and quite some time just to render this layer. Isn't there
a better way to render this layer. I mean, all data of the 2
dimensional array is rendered while the part of the grid that's
displayed is only a minor part of it when zooming in. Wouldn't it be
better for the gridlayer to find out what part of the array is needed in
the display image, pass this to the imageserver (i am using trhe
imageserver) and render it.
(The gridlayer mentioned above works perfect when working with
zoom levels above 1000000)
Kind regards,
Martijn
