I do

        _renderHints = new HashMap();
            _renderHints.put( RenderingHints.KEY_ANTIALIASING, RenderingHints.VALUE_ANTIALIAS_ON );
        ((Graphics2D)omGraphic).addRenderingHints( _renderHints );

and got

        "AbstractLayer.java": Error #: 364 :
                   cannot cast com.bbn.openmap.omGraphics.OMGraphic to
                        java.awt.Graphics2D at line 442, column 6
