This is a tougher nut to crack, and we'll be addressing it this year.
OpenMap doesn't support pre-projected data, because the projections
translate decimal degree coordinates directly to screen x/y. There's
no real mechanism yet for jumping in somewhere in the middle, although
there is a sketchy plan.

You add the PilotPlugIn as you would a layer in the openmap.layers
property in the openmap.properties file. Turn it on, and bring up it's
palette (by clicking on it's green status light or through the
LayersPanel). Define a pilot path, which will bring up another palette
for the path which has a button to create a J3D scene to fly through.
Make sure the timer for the PlugIn is enabled, and that the pilot is not
stationary.
