Hi Chris,
What you are seeing is the button being filled with the color it
represents. In the case of the fill color, the default color is clear,
and the garbage you see is some kind of Swing image buffer that was used
to render the button. The other two buttons would have the same
behavior if their colors were set to have more transparency.
We just haven't thought up with a good way to represent color and
transparency in a simple way for those buttons as a workaround for this
behavior.
