Hi John,

It's coming in the next release. There is a new package,
com.bbn.openmap.tools.threeD, which use the MapHandler to load a Java3D
scene. I'm still working on a couple of things, but it's coming along.
Some version of it will be ready for the next release. You'll need to
install the Java3D package in your Java installation to use it. I don't
know if DTED support for 3D will make it into this release.

As a side effect, I had to modify the OMGraphics to contain
java.awt.Shape objects. There are spatial analysis implications to
this, as discussed in previous emails to the openmap-users list.

I'd write more about this, but I'm leaving on vacation and I have to
load the car. I'll be back in circulation in Feb 25th.
