There isn't activity planned, per se, because there isn't funding in
place to support it. There is interest, though, which is why it's on
the list. Some parts, like SVG functionality (it is so
straight-forward), may appear sooner rather than later.

We're vaguely aware of SEDRIS standards, but haven't looked into what it
would take to comply with the data definitions. We've been more aware
of the OpenGIS standards, but it looks like the SEDRIS standards have
popped up in the OGC radar so we'll be paying more attention to them as
well. Like any other efforts, implementation would be driven by user
funding or submissions.
