other .jar files

thank u pradeep... can u pls tell me ..
why do we have both openmap.jar and omcore.jar..
right now i am using only openmap.jar, but when
i add both openmap.jar and omcore.jar to the
classpath the JVM gives a fatal error..

And i believe the omcontrib.jar is for imaging purposes..
am i right..??

  Hello Anoop,

  You would want to search the code that calls the Layer palettes. When you click on a palette button the getGUI code would be called.

  The LayerPane uses showPalette method of the Layer class. The Layer class in turn uses the PaletteHelper to retrieve a PaletteWindow.

  The LayersMenu also uses the PaletteHelper for the same purpose.
