Hi Chhaya,

There are a couple of things to check.

Does the new layer show up in the layer list? This is just to check to
see if the openmap.properties file you modified is the same one as the
one being used.

Are the coordinates in your shape file in decimal degrees? If they are
not, they represent pre-projected data and OpenMap can't handle that
data yet. You can check the coordinates of the shape file by running
the SpatialIndex file on the ssx file with the -d option - the
coordinates printed out should look like they are in the decimal degree
range.
