Question about computing scale...

Hello,

I'm using the GeneratorTester class to output images based
upon data in property file. The original data was in a different
"format" and I'm trying to convert the values to something
openmap will understand.

I have a question about computing a scale based upon the
following parameters:

1. Latatitude and Longitude of center point
2. Projection Type
3. Horizontal Field of View*
4. Image Width
5. Image Height

*Where horizontal field of view is the number degrees
    visible horizontally in the output image.

Any ideas how to convert HFOV to a Scale?
