BackGround Color

Hello,

Is there any way to change the Background color apart
from setting the openmap.properties file.

The SimpleMap aplication appears with a gray background,
could the background for this application be changed to
the defaultBackgroundColor ?

If the projection were to be used to setBackgroundColor
would it need to be done in the projectionChanged for
any of the layers?
