What kind of WMS support in Openmap 4.2 ?

Someone (Donald?) said a couple days ago that OpenMap 4.2 would be out
next week, with some WMS support. Is this going to be server or client
support for WMS, or both?

I am interested in whether Openmap can be used as/in a WMS server, so
that a new data source can be added to WMS simply by providing an
OpenMap layer which accesses that datasource. This would provide
lightweight (browser) access to these data sources via WMS, and also
provide heavier support via the OpenMap application, applet or bean
without having to write the code twice.
